KAPA's main objective is to aid in solving the problem of the uninsured in Knox County by linking local physicians, hospitals, and local health clinics that agree to donate their services to the individuals and families in need of health care services.

Your donation offers patients a hand up to better health and well-being. Every dollar donated equals $44 dollars of donated services to patients and ultimately a healthier community.

Since 2006, KAPA has enrolled over 27,000 patients. KAPA’s network includes 1,700 physicians, physician extenders, and all Knox area hospitals who have donated over $275 million in charity care. KAPA’s current ROI is 44:1. KAPA’s latest expansion addressed social barriers. At the end of our pilot year, KAPA continues to impact patient lives by seeing a 29% decrease in patient socio-economic barriers and an increase in physical activity by 40%.

“I am so thankful to have been in your hands. When I was hopeless, you gave me hope. When I was sick, doctors did their part to help me to feel better. KAPA people were warm hearted and patient with me. The staff became a friend that cares. Thank you all. “
