KAPA's main objective is to aid in solving the problem of the uninsured in Knox County by linking local physicians, hospitals, and local health clinics that agree to donate their services to the individuals and families in need of health care services.
Your donation offers patients a hand up to better health and well-being. Every dollar donated equals $44 dollars of donated services to patients and ultimately a healthier community.
$5 provides $130 in donated care, navigation services, and case management services for our neighbors in need.
$10 provides a month of medical education for 50 patients.
$100 provides a day of diagnostic services for 11 patients.
$1000 provides 1 day of specialty care for 62 patients.
KAPA BY THE NUMBERS:
Since 2006, KAPA has enrolled over 30,000 patients. KAPA’s network includes 1,800 physicians, physician extenders, and all Knox area hospitals who have donated over $350 million in charity care. KAPA’s current ROI is 44:1. KAPA’s latest expansion addressed social barriers. KAPA’s coordination of social services has resulted in a 20% decrease in our patient’s social risk barriers and a 34% increase in our patient’s physical activity.
“I am so thankful to have been in your hands. When I was hopeless, you gave me hope. When I was sick, doctors did their part to help me to feel better. KAPA people were warm hearted and patient with me. The staff became a friend that cares. Thank you all. “
