Where to Register

To register for the KAPA program or to find out more information on this free service, go to one of the following locations:

  • The Knoxville Academy of Medicine - 115 Suburban Dr. (map)

  • Knox County Health Department - 140 Dameron Ave. (map)
  • Cherokee Health Systems - Mechanicsville location - 601 College St. 544-0406 (map)
  • Samaritan Place - 3009 Lakebrook Blvd. - (map)

The telephone number for more information is 865-531-2766. If you need transportation to and from one of the sites, contact the Knoxville Area Transit system at 215-7800 (TT-525-1525) or the Knoxville/Knox County CAC at 531-9027.

No referrals for medical services are made from these sites. Within 24 hours following registration, patients will be contacted by KAPA case managers to process the request for referral. The first step is to make sure the patient has a primary-care doctor to act as their medical home. If referral to KAPA is from a primary care physician, KAPA case managers with work with the referring doctor to develop a treatment plan based on medical need.
